4th Annual Cocoa Crawl

Saturday, February 6 and Sunday, February 7

The Historic Downtown Long Grove Business Association is pleased to present our first event of 2021. This year, the 4th Annual Long Grove Cocoa Crawl will take place on two afternoons (instead of one) and offers a NEW scavenger hunt app to be used while trekking around town to find the answers to questions presented via the app.

Registration for the cocoa-themed event allows participants to download the app, receive take-home goodies and in-store offers from participating merchants, and be entered to win a prize donated by one of our businesses. There is a fee of $20 per group, with a maximum of six people per group. Participating merchants will be supplying goodies, giveaways or exclusive offers to registered groups. Some businesses may also be offering cocoa-related specials and discounts throughout the weekend. On-site check in procedures are listed on the registration page. Event modifications have been developed to manage the number of attendees and provide a safer experience for our merchants, visitors, staff and volunteers.

Participating merchants (as of January 20, 2021):

  • Bella Donna
  • Broken Earth Winery
  • Buffalo Creek Brewing
  • Covered Bridge Creamery
  • Country House of Long Grove
  • Joanie’s Pizzeria
  • Ma and Pa’s Candy
  • Morkes Chocolates of Long Grove
  • Olivia’s Boutique
  • redefined – a beauty bar & salon
  • Signature Popcorn
  • Viking Treasures
  • Within Reach

Important Carriage Ride Update

Due to the frigid weather forecast predicted for Saturday, February 6 with regard to the safety of the horses, we have decided to cancel the Carriage Rides scheduled for that day. Cancellation emails and refunds are being sent for all registered participants.

COVID-19 Measures being enforced:

  1. People will not be able to sample indoors during Cocoa Crawl but will be able to enjoy their treat later at home or when outdoors (when social distancing can be practiced).
  2. Only pre-packaged treats will be given to visitors.
  3. Face masks are required to enter participating locations.
  4. Hand sanitizer will be provided at participating locations.
  5. This event is spread throughout the weekend instead of on one day like previous years.

**We ask that you please practice social distancing when making your way around town, follow posted capacity limits at businesses and wear a mask or face covering. Food offerings will meet current health department requirements for safety.
